Young Director's Summer Theatre Seminar -

REGISTER AS AN ACTOR/DIRECTOR

for Kids in Grades 5-8 - July 29 - August 16, 2024

The Young Director's Summer Theatre Seminar meets Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm from July 29 - August 16, 2024. Students who register as ACTOR/DIRECTORS will study acting, character development, scene study, improvisation, techniques in directing, and more, and will audition for, rehearse, and direct their own fully -staged 10-minute play. They will also audition for, rehearse, and perform in a fully-staged 10-minute play or plays directed by other students. Performance dates are August 15 & 16 and are mandatory for all participants.

Triple Promise theatre production programs are all-inclusive; costumes, props, scenery, lighting and sound equipment, etc. are all included in the cost of tuition. Parents only need to provide undergarments, basics, hair spray, hair pins, and light make-up for show days, and, in some cases, shoes.

The Summer Musical Theatre Intensive meets Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 beginning July 29 and ending on August 16. Performance dates are August 16 & 17 and are mandatory for all students.

Student Behavior & Program Expectations

I understand that this is a Summer Theatre Seminar, and NOT a summer camp or a child care program. Students who attend Triple Promise are passionate, or at the very least, genuinely curious about exploring theatre and the performing arts. While we embrace students of all experience levels and our teachers do their best to accommodate different learning styles, that effort is contingent upon the child's genuine interest in the course content. Disruptive behavior of any kind is not tolerated.
